Linguistic Diversity Is a Strong Pillar of National Unity – Sanjay Kumar Mishra

A thought-provoking seminar on “The Contribution of Language to National Unity” was organised today at DAV Public School, Bariatu, under the aegis of Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, Jharkhand. The programme brought together eminent academicians and educationists to deliberate on the unifying power of language in a culturally diverse nation like India.

The seminar was graced by Prof. Anjani Kumar Srivastava, former Vice-Chancellor, Vinod Bihari University (Koylanchal), as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Jung Bahadur Pandey, former Head of the Hindi Department, Ranchi University, delivered the key address. The event was ably coordinated by Dr. Baleshwar Nath Pathak, State Secretary, Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, Jharkhand.

In his address, Prof. Anjani Kumar Srivastava highlighted that the preservation of traditions is intrinsically linked with the preservation of languages. He emphasized that languages act as bridges between cultures and play a vital role in strengthening social harmony. Dr. Baleshwar Nath Pathak stressed that integrating culture with education must remain a priority in order to nurture well-rounded individuals. Dr. Jung Bahadur Pandey eloquently explained the relationship of Hindi with other Indian languages, remarking that reverence for languages is, in essence, reverence for Mother India.

Welcoming the distinguished guests, Principal Shri Sanjay Kumar Mishra stated that such academic initiatives significantly enrich students’ knowledge and help them understand the true spirit of unity in linguistic diversity. He observed that language connects people beyond barriers, fostering love and fraternity even when one may not be fluent in another’s language.
