“The Urge to Satisfy Curiosity Gives Birth to Scientific Research” – S. K. Mishra

On the occasion of National Science Day, DAV Public School, Bariatu, Ranchi paid tribute to Sir C. V. Raman. The Principal and teachers commemorated the day by highlighting the importance of scientific thinking, curiosity, and innovation.

Addressing the gathering, Biology teacher Ms. Rashmi Dubey stated that giving shape to imagination is a scientific process. She explained that when human beings first imagined flying in the air, communicating with someone sitting far away, or seeing their own reflection, such thoughts led to continuous efforts. As a result of these imaginations and experiments, inventions like the aeroplane, telephone, mirror, and many other discoveries have become an integral part of our daily life.

Speaking on the theme of National Science Day 2026 – “Women’s Participation in Science: A Catalyst for a Developed India,” Physics teacher Mr. Swadesh Bandyopadhyay highlighted the invaluable contributions of Indian women in the field of science. He emphasized the significant role played by women in accelerating India’s journey towards progress and development.

Expressing his views, Principal Mr. Sanjay Kumar Mishra stated that science exists all around us. Awareness of surrounding events, sensitivity towards our environment, and a scientific attitude help in developing scientific temperament and nurturing scientific interest. He further added that curiosity and the eagerness to satisfy it are essential qualities. Students must remain motivated to explore new ideas and concepts.

The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to promoting scientific curiosity, innovation, and inclusive participation in science.
